W-boson mass anomaly from scale invariant 2HDM

The recently reported measurement of the W-boson mass by CDF-II collaboration is significantly heavier than that Standard Model prediction. We study this anomaly in scale invariant Two-Higgs-Doublet-Model (SI-2HDM) with a Z2 symmetry to avoid flavor-changing-neutral-current (FCNC). In scenario Higgs particle classically massless scalon SI-2HDM gaining its radiative corrections, hence being naturally light. Moreover, because model more predictive respect generic 2HDM. show oblique parameters depending on masses charged and CP-even (CP-odd) neutral scalar components denoted respectively MH± Mh (MA), are large enough accommodate model. There as well viable regions spectrum evade experimental bounds from colliders scalars.

We present a measurement of the W boson mass in W-->e(nu) decays using 1 fb-1 of data collected with the D0 detector during Run II of the Fermilab Tevatron collider. With a sample of 499830 W-->e(nu) candidate events, we measure M(W)=80.401+/-0.043 GeV. This is the most precise measurement from a single experiment.
